Metal horse shoes can significantly compromise the ability of the hoof to absorb shock by expansion. When the forces of weight and impact cannot be properly absorbed by the hoof, they will travel up the horses leg creating abnormal stress on muscles, tendons and bones. This effects the entire musculoskeletal system in an adverse way. Any rigid structure encasing the hoof will force the pastern joint to flex on uneven terrain, exposing the whole lower leg to lateral tension, for which it is not designed.
Easywalker horse shoes were designed to closely resemble the hoof wall and to absorb shock and vibration with minimal interference to the complex bio-dynamics of the hoof capsule.
